Wilkening Fireplace Company manufactures two styles of built in wood burning fireplaces. The Intens-A-Fyre™ is one of them. Masonry installed Intens-A-Fyre™ fireplaces utilize a masonry enclosure around a steel burning chamber which creates a hollow cabinet surrounding the fire. Room air is drawn in by natural convection and circulated back to the home. The masonry surround stores heat while in operation for release up to 10 hours after the fire has died down.
Designed with the environment in mind, an Intens-A-Fyre™ Fireplace incorporates an advanced internal combustion system that is non catalytic. Outside combustion air enters the unit base and is super heated to over 500 degrees before it washes down the glass front, creating a self cleaning glass front. With a combustion efficiency of 92% and an overall rating of 66.13% an Intens-A-Fyre™ minimizes emission while providing more heat from each piece of wood.
